Metro Blooms Design+Build maintains and inspects stormwater management practices at more than 20 sites in the Minneapolis Public Schools district. These practices include rain gardens, underground infiltration systems, permeable pavement, and wet ponds. Metro Blooms takes a sustainable, pollinator-friendly approach and does not use herbicides. Vegetation management includes hand pulling weeds, planting and seeding native shrubs, grasses and flowers, and clearing dead plant material.  We partner with local contractors to complete restoration work. As long as its stormwater management practices are inspected, maintained and reported on, the district remains in compliance with the City of Minneapolis’ stormwater management ordinance and is eligible to receive stormwater credits.
