Waite Park Neighborhood Association

Since 2017, Metro Blooms has worked with the Waite Park Neighborhood Association to help residents in the installation of raingardens to protect water quality. This area drains to the Mississippi River, and this project has resulted in the installation of 48 new raingardens that capture rainwater runoff. Metro Blooms provided individual site consultations and raingarden designs. Conservation Corps crews helped excavate, shape, and mulch the raingardens, and residents planted their new gardens according to their designs. This partnership is continuing.
