Career Readiness + Exploration (CRE) supports BIPOC youth and young adults as they take next steps toward careers in landcare and environmental fields. Offered to graduates of Metro Blooms’ Sustainable Landcare Training, the program builds workplace skills through an intersectional, justice-based approach that centers participants’ lived experience, strengths, and goals.
Through skill-building and real-world exploration, participants gain confidence and connections in the green jobs field. CRE combines resume and interview preparation with hands-on field experiences, site visits, and conversations with professionals across environmental careers. By learning together in community, participants expand their networks, explore pathways forward, and increase their visibility as emerging environmental leaders.
