Disability Justice Co-Learning Session
August 5, 6:30 – 7:30 on Zoom

Join us on Zoom for a conversation to learn about disability justice, and how it shows up in Metro Blooms’ work. We’ll also share some accessible gardening tips and tools that you can try out at home. Together, we’ll explore:

What is disability justice?
Why is disability justice integral to environmental justice?
How does disability justice show up at Metro Blooms?
How can we continue to improve accessibility in our work?

Join us on Saturday, August 1 at Art Shelf in Minneapolis for Blue Thumb’s first-ever Eco-Art Extravaganza—a free community event celebrating creativity, native plants, pollinators, clean water, and the artists who help us see our environment in new ways.

🌱 Shop native plants for your home garden
💧 Learn about pollinator habitat, clean water, and ways to make a difference in your community
🐝 Participate in interactive activities such as seed crafts, button making, creating climate zines, and more

Rooted Together: Connecting with Native Plants through Tea and Tarot

Help us raise $10,000 to build increased climate resilience in our state and advance environmental justice for impacted communities!

Join us for an evening celebrating our relationship with native plants. Together we’ll create herbal teas, enjoy soothing live music, connect with one another, and explore storytelling activities inspired by the practice of tarot. You’ll leave feeling grounded and inspired to continue building deep relationships with the plants in your community.
