Through our Blue Thumb Education programming, DIYers learn how to make their outdoor spaces more beautiful and sustainable, planting for clean water and habitat. In 2005, we started our first workshops for home gardeners, partnering with cities and watershed management agencies to share information on creating rain gardens. We continue these partnerships through our Resilient Yards workshops series on rain gardens and other stormwater practices, native plantings, pollinator habitat, alternatives to conventional lawns, healthy soil and shoreline plantings. DIYers can also sign up for the Resilient Yards Online Learning Series. The series is free and participants go at their own pace. Topics include Resilient Yards, Turf Alternatives, Seed Saving and Resilient Shorelines. Learn more here.
We are able to provide these learning opportunities through support from and partnerships with local governments hosts and sponsors. They include Blue Thumb Partners.
